Commercial Director – Sweden (Kommersiell Direktör)

Location: Stockholm, Gothenburg, or Malmö
Travel: Up to 40% across Sweden
Reporting to: Country Managing Director, Sweden
Direct Reports: Sales, Marketing, and supporting commercial functions (approx. 8 direct reports)

Purpose

The Commercial Director will lead the commercial strategy and growth of Securitas Technology in Sweden. This senior role combines hands-on commercial leadership with strategic influence across sales, marketing, and customer offerings.

Working through first-line leaders, the Commercial Director ensures that Securitas Technology delivers profitable, sustainable growth by strengthening go-to-market strategies, building a strong sales engine, and fostering a collaborative, high-performing culture.

This is a role for a leader who thrives on driving results through others, shaping strategy, and adapting with agility in a fast-evolving market. The ideal candidate brings strong commercial acumen, a modern, digital mindset, and a proven track record of building and converting pipelines in both private and public sectors.

Major Responsibilities

Leadership & Team Development

  • Inspire and empower leaders across sales and marketing to achieve business objectives.
  • Build an inclusive, high-performance culture that encourages collaboration, accountability, and growth.
  • Coach and mentor leaders, ensuring clear purpose, strong execution, and ongoing professional development.
  • Promote engagement, pride, and cross-functional teamwork across the commercial organisation.

Commercial Growth & Market Strategy

  • Lead the development and execution of commercial strategies that drive profitable growth and strengthen market position.
  • Oversee new business development and customer retention across all business areas, including fire and security.
  • Ensure strong sales execution by building pipeline discipline, supporting deal development, and enabling teams to close business confidently.
  • Oversee pricing, offering development, and go-to-market initiatives that support company and market objectives.
  • Use data-driven insights, analytics, and market intelligence to identify opportunities and refine strategy.
  • Build and maintain trusted relationships with key clients, acting as a senior advisor and strategic partner.
  • Drive uplift of existing contracts through value-led base selling, in collaboration with internal stakeholders.

Collaboration & Business Alignment

  • Partner closely with Operations, Finance, HR, and Product to ensure seamless alignment between commercial objectives and delivery capabilities.
  • Collaborate with the Head of Business & Offering on competitive product and service development.
  • Contribute to the wider leadership team, sharing best practices and supporting group initiatives across regions.
  • Represent Securitas Technology in strategic negotiations, industry forums, and events to strengthen market presence.

What Does Success look like

  • First 90 days: Establish strong engagement with commercial leaders, align on strategy, and define clear performance goals.
  • First 6–12 months: Deliver measurable growth in revenue and profitability, enhance client satisfaction, and strengthen team capability and collaboration.

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business Administration, Marketing, Sales, or related field.

Experience & Knowledge

  • 10+ years of commercial leadership experience, with significant responsibility for sales, sales management, and go-to-market execution.
  • Proven track record of building pipeline, developing customer opportunities, and closing deals.
  • Experience selling to both private and public sector customers.
  • Successful leadership of complex, cross-functional teams within B2B or technology-enabled environments.
  • Deep understanding of sales and marketing processes, CRM use, and strategic business planning.
  • Experience developing and executing pricing, product, and offering strategies.
  • Fluent communicator in Swedish and English, with experience working in an international context.
  • Skilled at balancing strategic direction with hands-on leadership and continuous improvement.
  • Strong digital mindset, understanding the value of analytics, data-driven decision-making, digitalisation, and modern commercial ways of working (e.g., social selling, digital customer engagement).
